Chalk it Down

Start with the simple things in life.

What exactly do you love?

And who?

Love is the only way to grasp another human being in the innermost core of his personality. No one can become fully aware of the very essence of another human being unless he loves him. By his love he is enabled to see the essential traits and features in the beloved person; and even more, he sees that which is potential in him, which is not yet actualized but yet ought to be actualized. Furthermore, by his love, the loving person enables the beloved person to actualize these potentialities. By making him aware of what he can be and of what he should become, he makes these potentialities come true.

  1. I was thinking of this exact thing yesterday on drive home from work yesterday (well, not exactly). When I feel the love of others in me, I expand and participate so much more in the world. In doing so I can make others expand.

  3. Oh, you are so right that love is the greatest enabler for the one receiving the love! This field of wildflowers reminds me of all the times in spring and autumn that my brother and I would pick flowers for our mother’s supper table! Love in action–and she received the broken and bruised petals with so much love!

Dear fellow journeyers, I wish to share this simple post from creatingreciprocity because it highlights a chief principle guiding our journey with our critterly friends: LOVE as enabler! Enjoy! Visit creatingreciprocity often, if you are not already doing so. You will be the richer for it!

  7. Trish, I love this video and the pure, unmitigated sense of just giving and sharing that it contains.

I found myself sighing and my eyes were watering just a little when Dave told the woman that he loved her. That was the nicest thing to tell her at that moment.

I agree with Patrice on this too. When any of us feels the love of others inside us, we expand and that inspires others to expand.

What a fabulous feeling to have and it’s so simple, but so important…Great post…..John H.

    1. I’m glad you liked it, John. I have often noticed how people bloom when they are loved – it’s a bit of a phenomenon. Maybe love is more of an energy source than we even realise?
