Do Not Leave Home Today

DO NOT LEAVE HOME TODAY

Do not leave home today without

Locking the door

Checking the windows

Without your car keys

A spare pants in case you are knocked down by a bus

Without your bus fares

Without your packed lunch

Without your inhaler

Without your mobile phone

Without a change of shoes

Without your lipstick

Without your gym kit

Without your home work

Without

Without

Without

in case

in case

in case

Why

Why

Why

because

because

because

This week I saw a slogan which read –

‘DO NOT LEAVE HOME TODAY WITHOUT YOUR HUMANITY’

I wish we could pack it in a snuff box or a small discrete sized wrapper, seam free and pocket sized. Wouldn’t  that be wonderful, to pack up humanity as if it was an ordinary requirement of daily life. I was heartened by the very idea.

An everyday important commodity as useful and important as our reading glasses.

In sight and out sight,

Awareness of self and other.

To rest assured that we would be seen

That our thirst could be quenched

Our hungers filled

Our tears patted dry

Our storms held in a teacup

Lapsang

Jasmine

Earl Grey

Lady Grey

Rooibos

Darjeeling

Sweet Chai

Peppermint

Chamomile

Hibiscus

Ginger

Blueberry

Raspberry

Strawberry

Loganberry

Humanity Blends

To calm

To sooth

To stimulate

Respect tea

Love Potions
