Slavery Enslaves Us All

It is estimated that there are 27 million people in slavery worldwide.  More slaves than at any other time in human history.  Even though nowadays – unlike other times in human history – slavery is illegal in most countries in the world.

Most of these people are being forced to buy goods or services which are sold…to us.

If we stop buying the goods and services produced by slave labour we will destroy the market and there will be no point in tricking and abducting and imprisoning people to work as slaves.

It could be you…

  2. Hello there. For some reason your blogs are not showing up in my reading list. I have clicked ‘follow’ again however I also note that when I try to comment it doesn’t recognise me so I have to put in all of my details. I’ve done this so hopefully this will have sorted things out. Just wanted to say….. will keep in touch. I do so love your thought provoking posts.

  3. It’s one of the comforting delusions of our time that most of us assume slavery has either been eradicated or reduced to a tiny anomaly. Most heartbreaking, for me, was learning of people who have been enslaved their entire lives, so that they don’t even realize there’s a condition called freedom. Thank you for posting this, Trisha.
